It is considered as one of the easiest aloe vera remedies for acne as it does not require any other ingredient to be mixed in it. It is 100% pure aloe vera that will treat your acne for sure.

Required Ingredient:

  • Aloe Vera Leaf – 1
  • A Knife
  • A Spoon
  • A Small Bowl

Process:

  1. Take one large aloe vera leaf and wash it with running water to clean the dirt from it.
  2. Cut open the leaf and take out the gel in a small bowl with the help of a spoon.
  3. Wash your face with an antibacterial soap and warm water and then pat dry with a clean towel.
  4. Apply the gel on the acne-affected skin and leave to dry completely.
  5. Rinse well with water.
  6. Use this remedy at least twice a day to prevent acne breakout as well as fade acne scars.

Note: If you do not have aloe vera plant at home, you can buy the natural aloe vera gel available in the market.

2. Aloe Vera Decoction

This remedy is very useful to treat acne issues as it will cleanse your skin of bacteria and other impurities. This remedy takes very less time to prepare.

Required Ingredients:

  • Aloe Vera Leaf – 1
  • Water – 2 cups
  • A Saucepan
  • A Strainer

Process:

  1. Take the aloe vera leaf and wash it with water to remove the impurities.
  2. Cut the aloe vera leave into small pieces.
  3. Take 2 cups of water in a saucepan and add the aloe vera pieces to it.
  4. Boil the leaves for 15 to 20 minutes and then leave it to become cool.
  5. Strain it and use this decoction to wipe the acne affected skin.
  6. It will work as a disinfectant and make your skin acne free with regular use. Repeat this remedy twice a day to get best results.

3. Aloe Vera, Lemon Juice and Egg White:

The addition of egg white to aloe vera gel makes it an effective remedy for acne. When the egg white dries on the skin, it lifts the dirt and soaks the excess oil from the skin. The mild astringent properties of egg white also give a good toning effect to the skin.

The acidic content of lemon juice kills the acne-causing bacteria P. acnes. It works as a powerful disinfectant. Apart from that it also exfoliates the skin by removing the dead skin cells, which in turn makes the skin healthy and less prone to acne. It also lightens the acne scars.

Required Things:

  • Aloe Vera Gel – 2 tbsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Fresh Lemon Juice –  1 tbsp
  • A Small Bowl

Process:

  1. Take 1 egg and separate the white portion of it in a small bowl.
  2. Add 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel to the egg white and mix thoroughly.
  3. Add the fresh lemon juice to it and mix again.
  4. Apply the mask on the acne-affected skin and leave it to dry completely.
  5. Wash off the mask with plain water.
  6. Pat dry the area with a clean towel.
  7. Use this mask daily once if you have oily skin, which is more prone to acne.

4. Aloe Vera and Honey

This is a powerful remedy for acne as it combines the acne removing properties of both aloe vera and honey. Containing anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, honey kills the bacteria that cause acne. Its anti-inflammatory properties soothe the irritated skin, reduce redness as well as inflammation. Its application also offers a moisturizing effect to the skin and at the same time hydrates the acne-prone skin to make it healthy.

Required Ingredients:

  • Aloe Vera Gel – 1 tbsp
  • Manuka Honey – 1 tbsp
  • A Small Bowl

Process:

  1. In a small bowl take the aloe vera gel and honey.
  2. Mix both the ingredients well and apply it to the acne-affected skin.
  3. Leave it on the skin for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. Rinse the area with warm water and pat it dry with a clean towel.

Note: Always use manuka honey to prepare this remedy as it is more pure and effective to treat acne.

5. Aloe Vera, Milk and Sugar

This remedy will fight the acne as well a give you a healthy, soft and bright skin. The glycolic acid in sugar will exfoliate the skin and promote cell renewal. Apart from that sugar, which works as a humectant will retain the moisture of the skin.

The milk in this remedy will offer a moisturizing and toning effect to the skin.

Required Ingredients:

  • Aloe Vera Gel – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – ½ tsp
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp
  • A Small Bowl

Process:

  1. In a small bowl, take the sugar and milk, and mix properly till the sugar melts properly in the milk.
  2. Add the aloe vera gel to it and mix thoroughly.
  3. Apply this mixture to the acne-affected skin.
  4. Leave it in your skin for 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Wash off the area with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  6. Apply this remedy once in a day regularly till you completely get rid of acne.

6. Aloe Vera Gel and Calendula Tincture

The properties of calendula make this remedy an effective one to get rid of acne. The antibacterial property of calendula kills the acne-casing bacterial. It also soothes the inflammation and reduces the skin infection.

Required Ingredients:

  • Aloe Vera Gel – 3 tbsp
  • Calendula Tincture – 2 tbsp
  • Cooled Boiled Water – ¼ cup
  • A Cotton Towel

Process:

  1. Take the aloe vera gel and mix the calendula tincture in it thoroughly.
  2. Add ¼ cup of boiled water to this mixture and mix again.
  3. Soak a clean cotton towel in the mixture and squeeze to take out the excess liquid.
  4. Wipe the problem areas with this towel.
  5. Repeating this remedy at least twice a day will give you desired results against acne.

7. Aloe Vera, Oat Flakes and Glycerin

Oat is anti-inflammatory in nature, so its use in this remedy can reduce the redness and inflammation of the acne-affected skin. Apart from that it also exfoliates the skin, which is considered as the first step to treat acne. It works to rejuvenate and freshen up the skin.

The use of glycerol cures various oily skin problems including acne. Apart from that it also makes the skin soft and supple with its moisturizing properties.

Required Things:

  • Aloe Vera Pulp – 1 tbsp
  • Glycerin – 1 tbsp
  • Oat Flakes – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 1 tbsp

Process:

  1. Take all the ingredients and grind them to make a thick paste.
  2. Apply this paste on the acne affected skin and leave for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Rinse your face with normal water.
  4. Use this remedy to get rid of the inflammation, which is caused due to acne.
  5. Regular application of this remedy will definitely help you to get rid of acne and its associated symptoms.

8. Aloe Vera, Honey, Milk and Turmeric

Aloe vera, milk and honey have various properties to treat acne and when we add turmeric to them, the resultant remedy becomes even more effective for acne treatment.  The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric treats acne issues successfully. Also, its antibacterial property kills the P.acne bacteria that cause acne.

The rose water offers an anti-inflammatory and hydrating effect to the acne-affected skin.

Required Things:

  • Aloe Vera Gel – 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Milk – 1 tbsp
  • Honey – 1 tbsp
  • Rose Water – few  drops

Process:

  1. Mix all the ingredients well to make a smooth paste.
  2. Apply the paste on the affected skin.
  3. Leave it on the skin for 15 to 20 minutes, and then rinse the affected area with normal water.
  4. Pat dry the skin with a clean towel.
  5. Use this remedy at least once in a day to treat acne completely.

Additional Tips

  • You can also add essential oils like eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil, grapefruit oil to aloe vera gel to prepare the remedy to get rid of acne.
  • To take out the aloe vera gel, always choose the largest leave of the plant.
  • Always use fresh aloe vera gel to prepare the remedy as it will be more effective.
  • The application of aloe vera gel may cause irritation in people who are allergic to garlic, onion and tulips and cause side effects like inflammation, burning sensation, redness and rashes. So before using the aloe vera home remedies on your skin, do a patch test by applying a small amount of aloe vera gel to your skin. After waiting for few minutes, if it does not irritate your skin, then you can go ahead with aloe vera home remedies for acne.
  • Aloe vera not only treats acne but also many other skin issues like sunburn, burns, irritation, allergies, etc.

    Awesome read! I have heard that Aloe Vera has a great healing effect as it is even used for burn victims, I think i will be using this with my Solvaderm if ever I have an outbreak, which is really unlikely because of my Solvaderm
